This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies BTZ uses, and why.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which let a website save small pieces of information in your browser.
Session storage is cleared when you close the browser tab. Cookies and local storage can last longer.
2. What we use
Essential only. These are always on, because the site or your account will not work properly without them.
- On this website (btz.ng): we do not set any cookies. We use your browser's session storage to remember your scroll position when you go back a page, and to reload a page once if part of it fails to load. This is cleared when you close the tab.
- In your BTZ account: when you log in, we use essential cookies or similar storage to keep you logged in, keep your account secure and remember basic settings.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
3. Third parties
- Google Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google. When this happens, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and browser details. We do not use it to track you.
- Vercel: our website is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run and protect the service.
4. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies and site storage in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies or storage, you may not be able to log in or use your account properly.
5. Consent
We only use essential cookies and storage, so we do not ask for cookie consent. If we ever add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
6. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time and will change the "Last updated" date above.
